The Information Systems Management Association (ISMA) at the University of California Santa Cruz is a student-run organization that exists to create an active community of students interested in business and technology to create a strong identity within the School of Engineering and the University.
ISMA’s efforts will focus on career development; community building; networking; and strengthening relations with UCSC alumni. The organization grew from the Information Systems Management major at UC Santa Cruz, which has now been renamed to Technology & Information Management. The major positions students to oversee the collection, manipulation, storage, distribution, and utilization of an organization's information resources in areas such as engineering, manufacturing, finance, accounting, and marketing. This field addresses the aforementioned issues as they relate specifically to technological enterprises, as well as the development, management, and commercialization of technologies/products.
